Vacancy: Superintendent – Marine, Safety & Quality (MSQ)

We are looking for a dynamic individual with good leadership qualities to fill Superintendent position in Marine, Safety & Quality (MSQ) Department.

Responsibilities

  1. Flag Regulations / PSC Inspections
  2. Statutory Regulations / SOLAS Amendments & Class Requirements
  3. Continuous evaluation of TMSA implementation
  4. On Board Pre Vetting Inspections / Audits / Assessments
  5. Responsible for tracking and closeouts of near miss, non-conformities, incidents, navigation audits, audits, internal and external inspections; and identifying areas of improvement
  6. Participate in incident investigations to promote learning
  7. Responsible for carrying out and reviewing risk assessments and maintaining risk assessment library
  8. Involve in briefing/debriefing/induction/conference calls of seafarers
  9. Contribute towards development and delivery of departmental strategies and targets

Requirements

  1. Master Mariner with seagoing experience on board Tanker.
  2. Minimum 1 year of experience in ship management.
  3. Well verse with OCIMF SIRE Programme and OCIMF TMSA
  4. Certified ISM Internal Auditor
  5. Have attended DPA/CSO Course and Incident Investigation Course will be an advantage
  6. Willing to travel and be on board vessels
  7. Able to work as a team and independently with minimal supervision
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
